The courtyard is the area in front of the doors to the boarding school for the Night Class. A large metal gate is kept shut all day, untill sundown when the Night Class students pass through the high school from their dorms, head to the open gates, and they walk into the courtyard of their school.
The Night Class can hang around here during their free hour.
